Celebration of the Sacrament of Baptism
The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated in the Parish Church of Saint Patrick at Asquith and the Parish Church of Saint Bernard at Berowra Heights.
In our parish, the Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated in the following way: § A talk with the a priest or deacon to speak about the Church’s expectations concerning Baptism This is held at 11am in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel in Saint Patrick's Church Asquith after the 10am Mass § The anointing, naming and preparation of the candidate at one of the Parish Masses as indicated below § The baptism of the candidate is held at the Sunday Mass as indicated below. It is possible for a good pastoral reason to have the baptism at one of the other Sunday Masses. This is by arrangement with the Parish Priest
You have requested to have your child baptised into the Catholic Community. Please complete the application form and return it to the parish pastoral centre at your earliest convenience.

Godparents are to be practicing their faith so as to be a good support for parents and a good role model for the child. One Godparent must be a fully initiated practicing Catholic over the age of sixteen - other Godparents must be over the age of sixteen and practising in their own Christian denomination.
